- From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to “Alerts”
- Click “Add New”
- Enter a Title
- Enter your full content in the text editor. You can also add an image here.
- If you would like to display an excerpt (shorter message) on the alert, then enter that message in the Excerpt field.
- Click “Publish”
- Make sure to move the alerts to the trash when they are no longer applicable!
Yes! Banner Alerts supports displaying multiple alerts. Simply click “Add New” from the Alerts page in the WordPress dashboard and create another alert.
See the style examples below for recommended styles if you are going to display more than one alert.
The dismiss link sets a cookie so that the website browser remembers that the user has dismissed the alert(s) and no longer wishes to see it. The cookie does not store any identifiable information and is GDPR compliant.
You can edit an existing alert just like any other post by clicking “Edit.” For users who have already dismissed the alert, it will be visible again on their next website session.
Yes! Banner Alerts is compatible with all caching mechanisms because it uses ajax for display and dismiss.
